Wernick Awarded ISO14001 and FSC® Certifications

24th March 2016

Wernick Building’s main manufacturing site in Kenfig, South Wales, has been awarded ISO 14001 and FSC® certifications.

The ISO14001 certificate is the highest award presently available in the UK for environmental management systems. It holds our company to the same high environmental standards as used by a quarter of a million businesses across the world.

The certification recognises Wernick’s efforts in reducing the waste produced during the manufacturing process, and our work towards mitigating our environmental impact. The very nature of our construction methods minimises the production of waste or carbon emissions, and most of the very little waste we produce is recycled.

The FSC certification recognises our efforts towards a sustainable construction process. The certificate acknowledges that our timber is obtained from FSC approved sustainable sources, and is processed and distributed according to Forest Stewardship guidelines.

These awards add to Wernick’s growing list of accreditations and certifications, which includes the ISO 9001 for Quality Systems, The Competent Person Scheme for calculating Co2 emissions and CHAS recognition for Health and Safety policies.
