Refurbish your existing modular building with Wernick

We understand that modular buildings come in various shapes, sizes and brands. That’s why we extend our refurbishment services to cater to your specific needs, even if your modular build wasn’t originally purchased from Wernick.

Refurbish a building

Our goal is to transform your existing modular building into a modern, functional and aesthetically enhanced space. Whether it’s a small classroom or a multi-story office complex, our expertise ensures the highest standards of refurbishment.

The process is simple:

  1. We collect: Your building is carefully dismantled and transported to our state-of-the-art factory in York
  2. We refurbish: Our skilled team works on every aspect of your building, from structure to aesthetics, tailoring the refurbishment to your specific requirements
  3. We deliver: The newly refurbished building is returned to your site, ready to serve its new purpose

Fully bespoke solutions

No two modular buildings are the same, which is why we offer fully bespoke refurbishment options. These include:

  • Upgraded external cladding to improve aesthetics and durability
  • Modern window designs for enhanced natural light and energy efficiency
  • Reconfigured layouts to better suit your operational requirements

Additionally, you have the option to expand or downsize your building by adding or removing modules. While your refurbishment is underway, we can also coordinate groundwork on your site, ensuring the building and its surroundings are perfectly aligned with your vision.

The process

The refurbishment process begins with a site visit to assess the condition and potential of your existing modular building. From this assessment, we’ll develop a detailed refurbishment plan and cost estimate tailored to your needs.

The condition of the building is not a limitation – we can work with buildings in various states.

Once agreed, we establish a timeline and begin work in our factory. Throughout the process, we maintain open communication to keep you informed every step of the way. Upon completion, we handle the delivery and reinstallation, ensuring a seamless experience from start to finish.

Sustainable solution

Refurbishing a modular building is a sustainable alternative to traditional construction or even a new modular building. By reusing materials and components, refurbishment reduces waste and minimises the need for new resources.

We have recently conducted an in-depth academic study to assess the embodied carbon emissions of a newly constructed modular building in comparison to a refurbished modular building.

The findings reveal a remarkable 46% reduction in embodied carbon emissions for the refurbished building when contrasted with the newly built structure.
