Power Optimisation Centre
Advanced telematics powering smarter energy decisions
Where power meets data
Opened in 2025 following a £3 million investment, the new Power Optimisation Centre (PoC) at Wernick Power Solutions flagship depot in Walsall is transforming how temporary power performance is monitored, analysed and optimised across the UK.
The PoC combines advanced telematics, live operational intelligence and specialist expertise to help customers reduce fuel consumption, lower emissions and uncover major cost-saving opportunities across their sites.
At the heart of the centre is a real-time monitoring hub, bringing together live data feeds from generators, battery energy storage systems, solar arrays and hybrid power solutions operating nationwide.
Real-time visibility
The Power Optimisation Centre provides customers with a complete overview of how their temporary power systems are performing, wherever they are in the UK.
Using integrated telematics from multiple equipment and controller manufacturers, our specialists can monitor:
- Generator runtime and load profiles
- Battery usage and charging cycles
- Solar contribution and renewable energy gain
- Fuel consumption and efficiency
- Carbon reduction performance
- Zero-emission operating hours
- System optimisation opportunities
Turning data into measurable savings
The Power Optimisation Centre is not just about monitoring equipment, it’s about delivering meaningful operational improvements.
With support from the PoC, Wernick Power Solutions helped customers achieve in 2025 alone:
- £2.1 million in operating cost savings
- 9,917,784 kg of CO₂ emissions reduced
- 3,039,870 litres of fuel saved
- 460,000 hours of zero-emission power delivered
These insights allow customers to clearly understand the environmental and financial benefits of adopting hybrid and sustainable power solutions.
Advanced reporting & performance analysis
Our team currently delivers more than 200 detailed customer reports every month, providing clear analysis of system performance and energy usage.
Reports can include:
- Fuel savings versus traditional diesel-only setups
- Battery and generator operating trends
- Renewable energy contribution
- Sustainable power generation metrics
- Estimated carbon savings
- Total operational cost comparisons
By transforming complex telematics data into actionable insights, the PoC helps customers maximise efficiency while supporting environmental objectives.
Integrating multiple technologies into one intelligent platform
Temporary power environments often involve equipment from multiple manufacturers, each operating through different telematics and control systems.
To simplify this complexity, Wernick Power Solutions has partnered with Data Cubed to develop an advanced API integration platform capable of automatically consolidating data from multiple systems into a single operational view.
This enables faster analysis, more accurate reporting and smarter optimisation strategies across hybrid power installations.
