From a charity fund matching scheme to a cycle-to-work programme, we aim to foster a safe, fulfilling work environment that provides opportunities to make a meaningful impact. Our commitment to being a responsible employer is grounded in providing resources that benefit our people and their communities.
Our Sustainability and Innovation Fund (SIF) is available to all employees, enabling them to champion sustainable improvements across our depots, offices and factories. The fund supports initiatives that enhance local environments, conserve energy and promote sustainable practices. SIF empowers teams to take on projects of all sizes, from creating wildlife habitats to piloting innovative technologies that lead to environmental benefits. Recently, our Horwich depot used this fund to transform its entrance into a vibrant landscape and wildlife area.
We actively support employees in their charitable efforts through our fund-matching scheme. Each year, Wernick allocates funds to match employee-raised donations, contributing up to £500 for individual efforts or £1,000 for group activities. This initiative has amplified the impact of countless charitable endeavours, helping a wide range of organisations since its launch.
