Requirement

Wernick Hire required high-quality modular accommodation solutions to support a major renewable energy infrastructure project in Norfolk. The development forms part of a new substation for offshore wind farms, requiring a range of welfare, office and amenity facilities to support on-site personnel throughout the programme.

The project required robust, compliant and flexible accommodation that could be delivered efficiently to meet the demands of a large-scale construction environment. As part of the Wernick Group, Wernick AVDanzer was selected due to its exemplary service and its position as the manufacturer of the PSflex product range.

Wernick AVDanzer was appointed to manufacture and supply four key modular buildings for the project:

  • A 26 on 26 PSflex building
  • A 5 on 5 PSflex building
  • A 9 on 9 PSflex building
  • A 3-bay PSflex gym building

Together, these buildings formed part of the wider accommodation complex delivered by Wernick Hire for the site.

Solution

Wernick AVDanzer manufactured and supplied four bespoke PSflex modular buildings to Wernick Hire, helping to create a modern and fully integrated welfare and office environment for the project workforce.

The buildings incorporated a range of operational and welfare facilities, including open plan office space, meeting rooms, canteen areas, changing facilities, drying rooms and toilet facilities. The dedicated 3-bay gym building also provided an additional wellbeing facility for personnel working on site.

Additional enhancements included integrated AV connections for meeting spaces, glass partitions to create a brighter and more open environment and bespoke internal fit-out features tailored to the client’s requirements.

The largest 26-on-26 building featured full-height glazing overlooking the site, alongside bespoke staircase solutions designed to accommodate the installation of the elevated concrete plinth.

Externally, the buildings were finished in durable steel and branded in Wernick Hire’s livery, with the option for client-specific branding where required.

Despite additional design considerations and complex site requirements, the project was delivered efficiently and in line with all health and safety standards. The completed facilities provide high-quality, flexible accommodation to support the ongoing delivery of this significant renewable energy project.

Wernick AVDanzer delivered a high-quality, flexible solution that fully met the needs of our client, with excellent service throughout. The team were professional, responsive and ensured the project was delivered smoothly from manufacture through to installation.
