Requirement

As part of the Wisley Acres housing development in Woking, Taylor Wimpey required reliable on-site welfare and office facilities to support their construction teams.

The project needed to accommodate a large workforce, so the facilities had to provide essential welfare amenities.

Having worked with Wernick AVDanzer for over ten years, Taylor Wimpey chose a trusted partner with a strong track record of delivering high-quality modular solutions.

  • Client: Taylor Wimpey South Thames
  • Supplier: Wernick AVDanzer
  • Location: Woking, Surrey
  • Accommodation type: OpenSpace 40ft modular units
  • Totale modules: 15 (13 units and 2 viewing platforms)

Solution

Wernick AVDanzer delivered a bespoke two-storey modular facility using OpenSpace 40ft units, designed to meet the day-to-day needs of the site team.

The ground floor focuses on welfare, providing male and female changing areas, toilet facilities and showers, along with an induction room and server room. A large open-plan canteen creates a central space for staff, while a dedicated prayer room with a Wudu wash station supports multifaith use.

The first floor provides office and meeting space, including a large open-plan office, smaller meeting rooms and a larger meeting room. A tea point and additional toilet facilities are also included, with viewing platforms on either side of the building offering clear views across the site.

The building was tailored to Taylor Wimpey’s requirements, with features such as large windows to maximise natural light, floor boxes for easy access to power and linked electrical connections between units to reduce external cabling. Furniture was supplied throughout key areas and branded signage was applied to both the building and viewing platforms.

Externally, the facility is finished in a durable steel exterior and painted in Taylor Wimpey’s corporate colours, creating a professional and recognisable presence on site. Branded signage featuring the Taylor Wimpey logo was also installed on the building and viewing platforms to reinforce the client’s identity across the development.

The result is a practical, high-quality modular facility that supports efficient site operations.

We were very impressed with the performance of the Wernick team from initial design through to delivery. The design and planning was thorough, communication was clear throughout, and the installation was executed efficiently and on schedule with updates provided each day. The end result met our expectations in both quality and practicality, making the whole process smooth and hassle-free.
