King George V Community Sports Hub
Requirement
Chester FC Community Trust is a charity organisation which delivers educational and inclusive sporting activities to residents. The Trust required a new ‘hub’ – a home to sports teams, clubs and local social groups.
Funding through The Football Foundation would cover the hub, a floodlit 3G artificial grass pitch, natural grass pitches and a Pavilion.
Priorities for the Trust included cost, speed and flexibility – in particular the potential to develop the building in the future.
The client’s research involved visiting ‘traditional’ and modular buildings in the area for similar projects.
They saw no difference in the quality or finish with the modular buildings they saw, which helped inform their decision.
