Requirement
The British Grand Prix at Silverstone is one of the largest events in the UK calendar, creating a significant requirement for temporary facilities across the circuit, public areas and campsites.
For this year’s event, Wernick Events supplied 122 units, supporting an event attended by more than 580,000 members of the public and an estimated 45,000 staff across the weekend. Facilities needed to be distributed across numerous locations around the circuit, providing reliable toilet, shower and accommodation provision throughout the event.
Having worked together over a number of years, Wernick Events and Fortis Hire have developed a setup that works effectively for both the venue and visitors. Early planning is particularly important, providing confidence that the required units will be reserved, delivered and installed as agreed ahead of the event.

Solution
Wernick Events supplied a diverse range of facilities across Silverstone, including 4-bay gents toilets, 7-bay ladies toilets and 6-bay shower blocks, positioned throughout the site to support the large number of visitors and staff attending the Grand Prix.
RestPods were also provided for staff, offering self-contained and secure on-site accommodation with dedicated sleeping and seating areas.
With units located around the circuit and within campsite areas, careful coordination was essential. Wernick worked closely with Fortis Hire and the venue throughout installation, responding flexibly when units needed to be moved or repositioned as site requirements changed.
A Wernick Events team remained on site throughout the event, providing ongoing support and ensuring any requirements could be addressed quickly. With access to Wernick facilities extending across the event site, the temporary infrastructure played an important role in supporting the hundreds of thousands of people at Silverstone over the weekend.
The level of service and attention to detail from Wernick Events is great. The installation team worked closely with us and the venue to get everything in place quickly and efficiently, and the on-site team provided excellent support throughout the event.
