Copart’s new refurbished office building
Requirement
Rose Consulting worked with Wernick Refurbished Buildings to create a refurbished office building on behalf of Copart, a UK leader in used and salvage vehicle auctions. With a nationwide presence and continuous expansion plans, Copart required additional facilities at its newly launched operations centre in St Helens, designed to accommodate up to 24,000 vehicles.
As the Principal Contractor, Rose Consulting managed all design discussions and oversaw project coordination on behalf of Copart. Early in the project, they visited Wernick Refurbished Buildings’ York factory, where they met with the sales and design teams and toured the production facilities. This hands-on experience allowed Rose Consulting to explore options for the refurbished building and align its specifications with Copart’s design standards.

Solution
The collaborative design process resulted in an eight-bay modular office building tailored to meet Copart’s needs. The final design included dedicated office spaces, a canteen, meeting rooms and restroom facilities with a shower. The interior and exterior finishes adhered to Copart’s branded colour scheme of blue and grey and the exterior wrap prominently displayed Copart’s logo. Additional design features included goosewing grey plastisol walls and skirting, with sargasso blue fascia and rainwater pipes, reflecting Copart’s brand identity and functional requirements.
Despite a compressed timeline, Wernick’s project team successfully met all deadlines, ensuring the building was delivered on schedule. Building on this success, Wernick Refurbished Buildings is set to supply a further nine-bay modular building at Copart’s Rockingham (Corby) site, utilising the same custom specifications developed for St Helens.
