BAM Construction – Brynmor Jones Library

Requirement

Wernick Hire has provided a triple stacked GreenSpace ECO cabin complex for BAM Construction. This is to aid their £27.4 million redevelopment of the Brynmor Jones Library at the University of Hull, which is to be created from the visionary designs from Sheppard Robson Architects. The tight work area of the construction site meant a triple-storey cabin complex was the only option to fulfil BAM’s site accommodation requirements.

With many construction companies now looking at reducing their carbon footprint, BAM Construction was also looking for environmentally sound accommodation for this project. Luckily, Wernick Hire had a brand new fleet of GreenSpace ECO units, which met all BAM’s requirements.

Andrew Smithson the Site Manager Commented, “It’s of primary importance to BAM Construction to have a good site environment and reduce our carbon footprint. After weighing up the cost and potential savings, as well as the environmental benefits, we decided the ECO complex provided by Wernick was the best option.”

GreenSpace ECO cabins have been Energy Performance Asset Rated and verified by an independent principle consultant and attain an EPC rating of B. This indicates that the energy efficiency of the building fabric, heating and lighting are extremely ECO friendly.

Company branding was also important to BAM Construction.
