Gynaecology building underway at Kingston Hospital
A new dedicated gynaecology outpatient building is underway at Kingston Hospital in southwest London.
Due for completion in August, the £5.4 million facility will provide a modern and welcoming environment for the people of the surrounding areas, where both outpatient consultations and procedures can be provided in a bespoke environment.
Wernick Buildings are working alongside ADP Architecture to deliver this dedicated unit which can be expanded or relocated to suit the future needs of the hospital.
Built ‘offsite’ in our dedicated modular building facility in southwest Wales, this single storey building (with second storey plant room), will provide 980m2 of clinical space on the Kingston Hospital campus.
The buildings’ 30 modules were craned into place over two weekends to reduce disturbance to the surrounding areas.
Angela Clarke, Associate Director Capital Development at Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust commented:
“This project has had to move at speed to meet the demands for clinical space, but in doing so we have created a bespoke environment with plenty of flexibility for the future!”
