A huge thank you to our teams, clients and partners for their continued support and collaboration. These awards are something we are incredibly proud to share together. See details on our four winning entries below.

Wernick Power Solutions - Stuart Norris Technical Achievement Award

Wernick Power Solutions received the Stuart Norris Technical Achievement Award for its integrated approach to powering and managing energy usage across the construction sector.

The award demonstrated how innovative energy management strategies can significantly reduce both carbon emissions and operational costs, while supporting more sustainable construction site operations.

Judges’ comments:

“A truly outstanding entry for this category showing an integrated approach to powering and managing power usage for site accommodation. Outstanding carbon and cost savings, those results speak for themselves. A real example of a company investing for the greater good and long term, not just short-term gain.”

Wernick Buildings - Project of the Year for Education (SEND/CAMHS/Mental Health)

Wernick Buildings was recognised for the delivery of St. Philip’s School, a specialist SEND facility designed to support vocational learning within a live school environment.

Delivered on a highly constrained site, the project required careful coordination around mature trees, existing buildings and ongoing school operations. The modular approach enabled the creation of high-quality teaching environments while minimising disruption to the school.

Judges’ comments:

“I applaud Wernick for being able to deliver such a high-quality building in a short space of time on a very difficult site. With mature trees and existing buildings extremely close to the new build, it is clearly evident that a great deal of care and collaboration has gone into making this new SEND facility for St. Philips School.”

Wernick Refurbished Buildings - Best Temporary Building Project Construction

Wernick Refurbished Buildings was recognised in the Best Temporary Building Project Construction category for the YTL Office & Welfare Refurbishment project.

Through the reuse and adaptation of existing modular assets, this project highlighted how circular economy principles can be successfully applied within the built environment, while still achieving demanding programme requirements. The project also showcased the speed and flexibility of modular delivery, providing practical office and welfare accommodation within challenging timescales.

Judges’ comments:

“Testimonial says it all. Dramatically lower environmental impact, good timescales and an informative entry in general. This project perfectly showcases one of the greatest benefits of modular construction, providing clear evidence of its positive impact on the circular economy.”

Women in Modern Methods of Construction

Kerry Jones was recognised for her exceptional contribution to the modular construction industry and her commitment to supporting future talent within MMC. Throughout a career spanning more than 30 years, Kerry has progressed from quantity surveying into project leadership roles and has played a key role in developing pre-construction and delivery functions within the business.

Alongside delivering major modular projects, Kerry has also worked within consultancy and industry advisory roles, helping clients navigate MMC delivery while continuing to champion diversity and opportunity across the sector. The judges particularly recognised Kerry’s leadership, industry knowledge and commitment to mentoring others.

Judges’ comments:

“The candidate has impressively worked their way up through the business, from quantity surveying to project management, and has led a new pre-construction project department, showing management skills. Head and shoulders above the other candidates in my view. 30-year career, totally embedded in MMC.”
