Shane Reeve – Chargehand
"I've had so many opportunities since I have been here and it's a really good place to work."

Shane’s Interview
Hi, I am Shane Reeves, a Chargehand at Hull Depot.
How did you start your journey at Wernick, and what led you to your current role?
Before joining Wernick, I worked on-site with modular buildings for several years. I was subcontracted to Wernick, and it was a good opportunity to work for a big modular company like Wernick.
What attracted you to your role at Wernick Hire?
What initially attracted me to the chargehand role was the responsibility, the opportunity to improve my leadership skills, and the chance to manage a team.
What responsibilities do you have in your role as a Chargehand?
As a Chargehand, my primary oversees all the yard’s day-to-day management. I also liaise with the management and office to ensure that everyone knows what will ensure deadlines are met and kept.
How has Wernick helped you progress as a professional?
Wernick Hay helped me progress and develop my skills through all my training courses. I started as a Yard Operator, and now I am a Chargehand. It’s good.
How does Wernick influence your work on a day-to-day basis?
Wernick influences my work by stressing the importance of open communication and mutual respect in the team. Every time I visit another depot, they are welcoming. All the lads in the yard are perfect. We have excellent office staff and a great manager as well.
What would you say to someone looking at joining Wernick’s team?
I would advise someone thinking of joining Wernick to do it if you can. I’ve had so many opportunities since I’ve been here, and it’s a good place to work.
