We construct our modules in our factory in South Wales, where we then store or deliver them to each client to fulfil the order request. This method of construction allows us to complete our building projects up to 50% quicker than a traditional building. We can provide a range of modern teaching equipment and features so you can make the most of your space. As part of our turnkey service, we can also provide groundwork and landscaping services, including car parks, multi-use games areas and playgrounds.

How to procure a modular school building
- Stage 1 Design development/tender pack – Building design & specification. All surveys, services & planning applications.
- Stage 2 Tender submission & evaluation – Project planning, tender submission, client evaluation of Wernick proposal. Communication of all client feedback.
- Stage 3 Design freeze – The design is agreed between the Client & Wernick as “Frozen”, Wernick progress to a detailed design.
- Stage 4 Project programme – Scheduling module “Shell & Core” into the factory manufacturing programme.
- Stage 5 Detailed design – Groundwork, structural, electrical, mechanical & visual/cladding elements. Energy, fire safety, drainage, acoustics & ventilation.
- Stage 6 Building Warrant & clarifications – Submit Building Warrant application, (21-day mandatory response). Evaluation of whether factory work can commence.
- Stage 7 Factory work, build & fit out – Manufacture of building modules & fitting of doors, windows, plumbing, M&E, HVAC & Data etc.
- Stage 8 Services applications – Water, electric, hydrants, gas & data. Foul & water application can be made simultaneously.
- Stage 9 Pre – Mobilisation conditions – Includes planning permission, Building Warrant, electricity, foul, water & fire officer approvals.
- Stage 10 Mobilisation – Site preparation, engaging with the community.
- Stage 11 Groundworks – Preparing foundations, services, drainage & access.
- Stage 12 Building installation & on-site fit out – Installation of building modules (1/2 weeks) & finishing of on-site fit-out.
- Stage 13 Services – Power, water & data connections.
- Stage 14 Commissioning, snagging & finishing – Commission, snagging, finishing & testing of acoustics, water, thermographic & air.
- Stage 15 Handover – Client training for building operation. Handover of keys, codes & exchanging of certificates, manuals & reports.
