Requirement

Collins Earthworks required high-quality on-site living accommodation to cut down on costs for their workforce, which would be a more sustainable alternative to hotels or short-term rentals. They wanted to create a compound with outside seated areas, providing a comfortable living space for their teams working away from home for extended periods of time.

From the outset, the size of the units were specific to ensure the buildings would fit seamlessly within their site layout. More importantly, they wanted a high level finish to ensure it felt more comfortable than standard site accommodation. Each unit needed to provide a balance of practicality and comfort.

The plan consisted of 10 units, configured to form part of the wider on-site compound. Collins wanted the finished setup to offer not only convenience and cost savings but also a space that would enhance wellbeing and morale during long projects away from home.

Solution

Wernick AVDanzer delivered a fully bespoke anti-vandal cabin solution designed to meet Collins Earthworks’ high expectations in both quality and comfort. The 10 sleeper units were manufactured to precise specifications and finished to a premium standard, using durable yet sophisticated materials to create a welcoming residential feel.

Each unit was fitted with bespoke furniture, including integrated storage, desk space, television, bed and kitchen amenities such as a microwave and fridge, as well as a private bathroom. Every feature was carefully considered to ensure workers would feel a true home-from-home experience.
