Tolworth Girls School
Requirement
When two roofs on an existing building at Tolworth Girls School Sixth Form reached the point of requiring major repair and replacement, the leadership team needed a solution that would allow essential works to proceed without disrupting teaching and learning. The project was co-funded with the Department for Education, adding further importance to delivering a well-managed and efficient programme of works.
A key priority was maintaining continuity for students and staff. The school required high-quality temporary accommodation to house eight classrooms, including four fully equipped science laboratories as well as a dedicated staff room and prep room. The accommodation needed to be installed during the summer break to minimise disruption, fully fitted out and ready for occupation by October half term, and capable of supporting the school’s day-to-day operations to the same standard as their permanent facilities.
