At Wernick Power Solutions, sustainability is embedded in every facet of the business. As part of the long-term strategy, the company has committed to achieving net zero by 2040, setting a bold and responsible target that reflects both the urgency of the climate crisis and dedication to industry leadership.

Forward-thinking by design

With the aim of reaching net zero ten years ahead of the UK government, it’s understood that the path to net zero demands more than incremental changes. That’s why Wernick Power Solutions has embraced a forward-thinking, innovation-led approach to sustainability. From re-evaluating operational processes to developing product offerings, the business is designing a future that is cleaner, greener and more resilient.

Strategic investments in sustainable equipment

Reaching net zero starts with the right tools, and Wernick Power Solutions continue to invest heavily in low-emission, energy-efficient equipment and solutions. Since 2023, the business has invested over £12.9 million in sustainable solutions, reaffirming their commitment to advancing sustainability focused solutions for their customers.

These solutions include:

Collaborating for a greener future

True sustainability comes through collaboration. Wernick Power works closely with clients, partners and suppliers to develop greener ways of working, to create tailored energy solutions that help reduce environmental impact across the supply chain.

Through partnerships, the business is championing circular economy principles whilst pushing the boundaries of sustainable innovation within the temporary power sector. In a recent partnership with Greener Power Solutions, an efficient solution was created by integrating a 336kW battery with two 200kVA generators. This collaboration enabled the customer to achieve the impressive savings of 2,978 hours in running time and 60,599 litres of fuel, as well as a reduction of 196 tonnes of CO2 emissions and 925kg of nitrogen oxides.

The power of telemetry: Data-driven sustainability

A key pillar in Wernick Power Solutions’ journey to net zero is the integration of advanced telemetry and remote monitoring technology across fleet. These smart systems provide real-time data on asset performance, fuel consumption, and energy output, allowing both Wernick and its customers to make informed, environmentally responsible decisions.

By tracking energy usage and identifying inefficiencies, telemetry enables proactive management, ensuring generators and hybrid systems operate only when necessary, and at optimal efficiency. This translates directly to reduced fuel consumption, lower emissions and smarter deployment of power across projects.

Crucially, this data-driven approach not only helps customers meet their own sustainability goals, but it also accelerates Wernick Power’s progress toward its net zero 2040 commitment. With every kilowatt optimised and every litre of fuel saved, the business moves closer to a cleaner, more energy-efficient future.
