Requirement
With a long term successful working over many years, the Jockey Club approached Wernick with a requirement for the Grand National 2023 event held at Aintree Racecourse in Merseyside. The project involved providing accommodations and products for the horseracing event.
The Grand National 2023 presented unique challenges and requirements for Wernick. The client had made the decision to increase the seating specification by 50% with a new grandstand design at West Tip. This necessitated the integration of additional toilet facilities below the grandstand, demanding careful planning and technical expertise. Wernick was tasked with working around the client’s decision and providing solutions that would seamlessly accommodate the increased seating capacity.

Solution
To meet the client’s requirements for the Grand National 2023, Wernick implemented a comprehensive range of solutions that were specifically tailored to the event’s requirements. These solutions encompassed various aspects, including accommodation, ticket booths, office space, and toilet facilities.
Wernick expertly installed specialised ticket booths equipped with interconnected units. These ticket booths were designed to handle the high volume of customers attending the event.
Recognising the importance of efficient office space, Wernick delivered dedicated office units that served as operational hubs throughout the Grand National 2023. These purpose-built office spaces facilitated seamless coordination, effective communication, and streamlined administration for the event management team.
To cater to the increased seating capacity and ensure the utmost comfort and convenience for attendees, Wernick installed additional toilet facilities strategically positioned below the grandstand. By meticulously planning and coordinating the project, Wernick successfully addressed the technical requirements associated with integrating the toilets into the sub-structure of the grandstand, seamlessly blending them into the overall design.
