Frimley Park Hospital

Requirement
Patients who would previously have had to travel to London for treatment are now being taken care of much closer to home, thanks to the new Cardio-Cathether unit at Frimley Park Hospital, Surrey.
Offering a local service for local people, the new two storey modular built facility was supplied by Wernick Buildings with everything being factory-built, delivered and assembled on site over just four weekends. Finishing and fitting-out took the total contract time to just 22 weeks.
The speed at which the project was completed echoes the realisation by healthcare providers that where new hospital buildings need to be brought online quickly, a modular building solution is often the most appropriate choice.
Having specified modular buildings in the past, Leon Chasteauneuf the hospital’s project manager was convinced that this was the way forward for Frimley. Awarding the project to Wernick over five other companies, Mr Chasteauneuf and his team made their choice based on a realistic timescale, quality of the finished product and the overall cost. Upon completion, he commented that, “The finish achieved by Wernick is superb.”
