Countryside (Hinckley)

Requirement

Countryside required temporary accommodation for staff working on a new housing development in Hinckley for a hire period of eight months.

The plan included toilets, changing/drying rooms, food preparation and eating areas, storage and offices. Towards the end of the project, it was necessary to rethink the set-up due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

  • Project name: Countryside
  • Sector: Construction
  • Location: Hinckley, Leicestershire
  • Client name: Countryside
  • Supplied by: Wernick Hire
  • Accommodation type: A mixture of cabins, stores and a smoking shelter

Solution

Countryside contacted Wernick Hire who they had an existing relationship with. The client hired 24’ and 32’ cabins as well as split toilet units, stores and a smoking shelter.

Wernick worked closely with the client on installation – the site was compact with one road in and out.

Due to the impact of the pandemic, Countryside assigned a team to reconfigure the site to allow for social distancing. Changes included a one-way system and restricted toilets and urinals.

The smoking shelter became an electronic sign-in station which helped to decrease traffic flow into the site office.

Wernick supplied additional units as required – and installation and removal of the units was undertaken with utmost consideration of the new guidelines.

The service I received from the Hire Controllers at the Wernick depot was excellent, they couldn’t have been more helpful. The cabins themselves are the cleanest that we’ve ever received, and everyone has commented on how well presented they are.
