Carey Electrical Engineering

Making a Connection

After spotting an article on modular buildings in a trade magazine, Richard Wild, MD of Carey Electrical Engineering, knew where to come when his company needed some extra office space.

By erecting a new modular building just one metre away from their old building, the Manchester-based company would be able to ensure the transition from old to new premises would be a smooth one when the 14 week project was completed. And, with all staff in place in the new offices, the previous accommodation could then simply be demolished.

To provide an attractive new home for the Carey Electrical Engineering team, the 725 square metre modular building was designed to include a number of special features. These included a glazed lobby with an open plan staircase to the first floor, plus special lighting effects that would be clearly visible from the outside.

Also, to enhance security, Mr Wild specified integral roller shutters to protect all the double glazed windows.
