Requirement

A new building was urgently required due to the deteriorating conditions of the existing staff accommodation. These structures had long exceeded their expected life span, compromising the well-being of staff. The poor conditions, lack of showering facilities, and sub-optimal storage and changing facilities created an unsuitable environment. Therefore, the pressing need for improved and modernised facilities prompted them to seek a new building solution that would address these deficiencies and enhance the overall work environment for our dedicated team.

Solution

The new building is designed to cater to the diverse needs of Emergency Department staff, including doctors, nurses, and reception staff. To enhance their work environment, the building serves multiple purposes. It provides a dedicated break-out room, offering a space for staff to unwind and recharge. Additionally, the building features a quiet area, ensuring a tranquil space for focused activities. The inclusion of a kitchen facilitates food preparation and storage, contributing to the overall well-being of the staff. Unisex changing facilities are provided for convenience, along with individual staff lockers for secure storage. The building also incorporates showers and toilets to meet the hygiene and comfort requirements of the Emergency Department staff.
