Josh's interview
My name is Josh Jones, and I am a Service Supervisor for Wernick Power Solutions. My main role is to install and service the generators we provide to our customers.
I have been with the company for two years now and my favourite part of the job is how I get to go to many places and how every day is always different.
My proudest achievement would be how a client’s generator kept on failing with an issue that tried to be resolved several times but could not be found. After a couple of hours problem solving, I managed to resolve the issue and get the generator working again. This exceeded the customers’ expectations and helped maintain a good working relationship.
Another occasion I was pleased with my efforts was when I was at a COVID-19 testing site and I was able to install a generator to the site which already had two generators from different companies that kept on failing. The generators kept the COVID-19 samples fresh, so it was crucial that they worked. It was a good feeling knowing that I was able to help save all those samples.
I would definitely recommend working for Wernick, you get to work with a variety of people, and you are continuously supported on the job.
Wernick is a friendly company to work for, all of the Power engineers communicate throughout the day, and it has created a real sense of community between us all. We all stick together and help each other out when we need it.
Wernick offers stability of employment, and the operation of my daily schedule is well organised. All of us Engineers can plan our days out which gives us a sense of structure.
Outside of work:
In my spare time, I like spending time with my family and going on walks with our dog.
