Wernick Secures Place on Modular Buildings Framework
Fusion21 Framework Appoints New Wave of Firms Following Expansion
Wernick Buildings are proud to announce their appointment to all five Lots of a national modular buildings Framework.
The Fusion21 Framework helps to cut the high cost of self-run procurement exercises as well as providing access to procurement expertise.
Those firms appointed to the Framework are rigorously assessed and continuously monitored, and they are held to the highest cost and quality standards.
Fusion21 provides procurement services and OJEU compliant frameworks to the public sector, and is committed to making a difference in communities across the UK.
Providing a full turnkey solution for the design, manufacture and installation of buildings of modular construction, the Framework offers members temporary or permanent buildings which are compliant with all building regulations and present lower carbon emissions than traditional builds.
To date the firm has saved its members more than £177m through the procurement process, created more than 5,100 jobs and generated £76m of community impact.
The Framework allowed SPECIFIC, an innovation and knowledge centre, to commission Wernick Buildings for the build of the UK’s first energy positive office at the University of Swansea’s Bay Campus. John Farley, Framework Manager at Fusion21 (Retrofit and Education) said: “We’re delighted that as a result of accessing our Education and Modular Buildings framework, the University of Swansea will benefit from a sustainable modular solution through collaborative partnership with Wernick Modular Buildings from inception to delivery. The new structure will generate more energy than it uses and with a short turnaround period, soon up to 40 staff members will be utilising their new facility.”
Fusion21 offered four Lots of the Framework in 2017, with Wernick Buildings being awarded all four Lots. The Framework announced for 2018 is an extension to the existing offer and includes a greater choice of suppliers and budgets for its members.
