Wernick Buildings Opens Divisional Office in Scotland

14th May 2014

Based at the existing Hire depot at Coatbridge, the office will provide support for Hire as well as deliver Wernick Buildings’ full local turnkey modular service to our Scottish customers.

Heading up operations in Scotland is the newly appointed Divisional Manager Chris Hart (pictured).

Chris brings over 10 years of experience in modular construction from his background of 5 years as a consultant and development manager in the modular industry, followed by 5 years running a Project Department within a Scottish Division of a market leading modular building contractor. This gives Chris a well-rounded experience in the industry to quickly build up business.

Chris commented, “I am excited to join the business with this challenge ahead and look forward to securing Wernick a strong market share in Scotland. Commercial Organisations and public bodies like local councils are now getting excited about how modular building contractors can provide Design and Build turnkey solutions. As funding reductions cause resource issues in Design offices across the public sector, this service helps authorities deliver completed buildings at a greatly reduced cost. I believe Wernick not only have an excellent product but also a competitive price.”

The opening of a new division is part of Wernick Buildings’ expansion plans, which also includes the relocating of our production facilities to a new three million pound factory. The new development in Port Talbot, Wales, will greatly improve the factory’s potential of the new Rapidplan building system currently in development. The new factory should be fully operational by the start of 2015.
