Treloar’s Staff Awards
For the second year, a charitable donation from the Wernick Group has enabled Britain’s leading school for young disabled people, Treloar’s, to reward its top-voted staff members.
Treloar’s provide exceptional care for children and young adults with complex physical disabilities and additional needs.
Each year, their almost 800 staff have the opportunity to vote for a colleague they feel deserves recognition.
Seven awards are available and a top three from the seven are selected by Treloar’s leadership team for an overall first, second and third prize.
This year’s winners were:
1st Claire Eves – Claire is the Lead Student Support Assistant, she oversees all the assistants (each student has an SSA with them)
2nd Yvette Walker – described as the “amazing super nurse”, Yvette supports all students
3rd David Tigg – David makes adaptations to student’s equipment, ensuring that the assisted technology is the best it can be
Sarah Adwick, Treloar’s Development Manager commented: “It is thanks to David Wernick’s wonderful contributions that we can continue to recognise our amazing staff.”
Executive Chairman David Wernick added: “It is always a privilege to contribute to the running of this fantastic school. Recognising staff at Treloar’s is essential, their work means so much to so many people.”
