Wernick Hire continues £45m investment programme

Wernick Hire has completed the purchase of the Kier Group’s portable building fleet. This includes a combined total of over 3,500 cabins and modular buildings. Also agreed with the sale is the agreement for Wernick Hire to be the sole supplier for the Kier Group’s onsite temporary accommodation over the next five years.

David Wernick, Chief Executive of the Wernick Group, commented: “This is an excellent acquisition for Wernick and we are very much looking forward to being a key supplier for the Kier Group over the coming years. We feel this will be a mutually beneficial working relationship for both companies.”

Kier Group is a leading construction, services and property group. Kier's construction arm comprises a strategically positioned UK network of locally established regional contracting businesses with national and international major building, civil engineering and mining capabilities.

This is a continuation of Wernick Hire’s growth strategy with over £45m of investment spent over the last 24 months.
