Wernick Hire has acquired yet another business, Lewis Cabinhire of Newcastle-under-Lyme for £1.8m.  The Wernick Group now operates from 30 hire depots nationwide, a number that has doubled in the last four years.

Established in 1979, Lewis Cabinhire is a leading supplier of portable buildings in the West Midlands, with 400 cabins and 230 portable WC units in its fleet.  Simon Doran, managing director of Wernick Hire commented, “The combination of Lewis Cabinhire’s local business strength and client base combined with Wernick Hire’s management expertise and financial muscle is a potent formula for the continuing expansion of our business.”  He added, “This is a good strategic fit into our trading position in central England and will give us a stronger presence in a competitive market.”
