Top school gives top marks to Wernick Buildings When it comes to accommodating the needs of the education sector we understand that one solution doesn’t fit all. So as well as being able to offer purchase, lease purchase and hire options on all their products – from building site cabins right though to complete schools - Wernick also offers a versatile range of modular accommodation in a variety of traditional finishes. The new prep school science laboratory at Bromsgrove School in Worcestershire, a school which features amongst the top independent schools in the UK, is an example of a project that was deadline driven and required a finish to exactly match the buildings that surround it. The rapidity of delivery and highly competitive cost, together with state-of-the-art factory manufacture of modular buildings makes them an increasingly attractive choice for LEA’s and private clients in the education sector. On-site disruption is kept to an absolute minimum with this type of construction, which can be a major consideration at a school or university. Amongst other eco-factors that are high priorities is the re-cyclability of the steel framed modular units and much-reduced noise and pollution around the site. Why did Bromsgrove School go down the modular building route? “The Wernick Buildings representative provided me with a drawing and a quotation the same day as our first phone conversation”, said Bromsgrove’s bursar, Anthony Siddall, “and what really impressed me was that the drawing depicted almost exactly what I was looking for even though a full brief had not been given. They were also able to assure me that our building would be ready for use before the commencement of the fast approaching Michaelmas term. This was a crucial factor in the negotiations”. 02/08
