Dunbar Primary accommodates growth

Dunbar Primary is a school that has experienced rapid growth in numbers and required additional pupil accommodation urgently.

A building containing an additional four classrooms was provided by Wernick Hire within twelve weeks of a contract being agreed. The new 14-bay, modular, two-storey building is linked to the existing building by a hallway cut through to a corridor within the main school.  The internal layout also includes cloakrooms and the overall design of the building is such that additional classrooms can be easily added at a later date.

The new building, which was purchased rather than hired, took two days to deliver and position and finishing work took just 30 days. All on-site work, from delivery to hand-over, took place during the school’s summer holidays allowing the children to move in to the new classrooms on the first day of the new term.
