Wernick Hire Supports Building Schools for the Future in Blackpool

Highfield Humanities College Blackpool was provided as part of the Governments now abolished ‘Building Schools for the Future’ programme.

Building Schools for the Future (BSF) was the biggest national schools investment programme in over 50 years. The Government’s plan was to rebuild or renew every secondary age state school in England. BSF was cancelled in July 2010 as part of a capital spending review.

Due to the advanced nature of Blackpool’s programme, the coalition Government announced in August 2010 that 3 sample schools in Blackpool, including Highfield Humanities college, would be approved to proceed to financial close.
