Wernick wins Welsh AM’s seal of approval with new nurseryWon against stiff competition from a number of competitors, Wernick were pleased to supply Waunlwyd Primary School in Ebbw Vale with a new early years unit. Providing a much needed accommodation solution to a community who had previously had to send their children to a nursery outside the area, the 6 bay, 155 square metres Rapidplan™ 3000 modular building met with the approval of Welsh Assembly minister Jane Davidson. Commenting on the facility, she said, “This is a beautiful new classroom that gives a much needed nursery for this school.” The new nursery presented a challenging installation for the project team. The school is sited on a steep elevated valley side, which made delivery of the building’s sections tricky. However, Wernick met these difficult demands by using a 50-tonne mobile crane to lift everything into position. Echoing the minister’s delight at the final result, the school’s headtecher Graham Worgan had this to say, “Now we have this facility it benefits the community as a whole, I am very pleased with the building.” |
